Before your appointment

  • Tell the studio when booking about any skin conditions, allergies or medication — a patch test may be needed before your appointment
  • Avoid brow waxing, tinting or threading for a week beforehand
  • Avoid retinoids and strong exfoliants on the area for two weeks beforehand
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day
  • Come with clean, product-free brows

Aftercare

  • Follow the written aftercare you are given in the studio
  • Keep the area clean and avoid soaking it while it heals
  • Do not pick or scratch as it flakes
  • Keep it out of direct sun, and use sun protection once healed
  • Hair strokes and shading settle differently; both are reviewed at your follow-up

How should I prepare for a brow appointment?

Come with clean, product-free brows. If you are changing shape, let the hair grow for about two weeks beforehand — there is more to work with and the result lasts longer.

Should I avoid anything beforehand?

Avoid strong exfoliants and retinoids on the brow area for a few days before your appointment. Tell us when booking if you have ever reacted to a brow or lash treatment, or to hair dye.

How do I look after laminated brows?

Keep them completely dry for the first 24 hours, brush them upward daily to hold the shape, and use the nourishing oil provided to condition the hair. Avoid steam and heavy sweating on the first day.

How long does a brow tint last?

Tint fades gradually rather than all at once, and how quickly depends on your skin and routine. Most clients book a top-up alongside their next shaping appointment.

How often can I have lamination done?

Lamination is a chemical process, so it is spaced out to keep the hair in good condition — usually a matter of weeks rather than days. The right interval for your brows is discussed at your appointment.

Why is a deposit required?

The deposit holds your slot. As a single-artist studio, an unfilled appointment cannot be given to anyone else at short notice, so the deposit protects the time that has been reserved for you.
